THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS

Y&R Alum Abhi Sinha Reveals His Exciting New Role!

During his brief run as Ravi Shapur on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS, Abhi Sinha became a fan favorite among viewers, so they’ll be delighted to know that the actor is hard at work on a new project, BLANK SLATE! “Cat’s outta the bag,” he shared on Instagram when the news broke. “So grateful to work with this amazing cast and crew. Let’s get it!”

BLANK SLATE is a new pilot for NBC from creators Dean Georgaris and John Fox that stars Matt Passmore as special agent Alexander McCoy. The only catch is that this legendary super-agent doesn’t actually exist! But when a man claiming to be McCoy appears at the agency with all of his skills and knowledge but his own agenda, things get extremely complicated!

Deadline is reporting that Sinha will be playing Cornelius Kepler, the tech specialist on the Homeland Security team who uses his IT skills to uncover whatever information the team might need. The cast of the drama also includes Floriana Lima as Maya Logan, the head of the Homeland Security team, and Dave Annable as Maya’s husband, Chris Logan, who is also a congressional candidate.

Since leaving Y&R, Sinha has made appearances in primetime series like S.W.A.T. THIS IS US, and ANIMAL KINGDOM. The actor shared a photo of the cover to his copy of the pilot’s script from his balcony overlooking New York City, so either he’s currently on the East Coast learning his lines, or else BLANK SLATE is actually shooting in one of the studios in or around the Big Apple.

BLANK SLATE is still currently in the pilot stage and only just now casting and shooting, so keep checking back at SoapsInDepth.com for updates to see if NBC picks it up for a series order and, of course, when you can watch its premiere to see Sinha on your screens again!
