We are sad to report that actor Ray Liotta has died at the age of 67. He was in the Dominican Republic shooting the upcoming movie Dangerous Waters and Deadline is reporting that he passed away in his sleep.
Liotta launched his acting career with a role on the NBC soap ANOTHER WORLD. He played Joey Perrini from 1978-81, at which time he left New York City to try his luck in Hollywood. His film debut was in 1983’s The Lonely Lady, and his first major role was in 1986’s Something Wild, which earned him a Golden Globe nomination for Best Supporting Actor — Motion Picture.
During his impressive career, Liotta starred in movies like Goodfellas, Unlawful Entry, No Escape, and Hannibal. From 2016-18, he co-starred with Jennifer Lopez in the primetime crime drama SHADES OF BLUE. In recent years, the actor could be seen starring in the Amazon original series HANNA and the upcoming Apple TV+ series BLACK BIRD as well as on the big screen in the SOPRANOS prequel The Many Saints of Newark.
Liotta is survived by his daughter, Karsen, and his fiancée, Jacy Nittolo. Our thoughts are with his family and friends during this difficult time.
