On Oct. 15, Deadline reported that longtime New-York based talent manager Jenevieve Brewer had died, and as one of her clients, GENERAL HOSPITAL newcomer Nicholas Alexander Chavez (Spencer), was hit hard by the news.
“You were so special,” he tweeted. “It was a privilege to know you and work with you. I’m so grateful for our time. Your generosity, kindness, and strength of spirit was an inspiration to me and many others. Thank you for being my manager and my friend. My heart is broken and I miss you.”
Some of Chavez’s GH co-stars, like Avery Kristen Pohl (Esme) and Sydney Mikayla (Trina) offered their sympathy for his loss in response to his heartfelt tweet.
Brewer worked as an agent at About Face Talent and as a manager for Terrific Talent before setting off on her own and founding Jenevieve Brewer Talent Management in 2015. In addition to Chavez, Brewer’s clients included Joseph D’Onofrio and Lauren C. Mayhew, who got her start in daytime playing Marah Lewis on GUIDING LIGHT back in the ‘90s.
It was Brewer who helped guide Chavez through the start of his acting career and helped him find his way to Port Charles where he took over the role of Spencer Cassadine from Nicolas Bechtel back in July 2021. Our thoughts are with Chavez and all of Brewer’s friends and loved ones during this difficult time.
