A familiar face is coming to Port Charles! ONE LIFE TO LIVE alum Josh Kelly is joining the cast of GENERAL HOSPITAL! While details of his role are being kept strictly hush-hush, Deadline is reporting that he is going to be a “series regular” and will first appear at the end of May.
Kelly’s character is also said to be impacting the lives of Sam, Dante, and Britt, which naturally had some GH fans immediately speculating that he could be another recast of Jason Morgan, after Steve Burton was let go for refusing to comply with ABC/Disney’s COVID vaccine mandate. The role of Jason was previously recast with actor Billy Miller stepping in when Burton left to be on THE YOUNG & THE RESTLESS However, it’s just as possible that Kelly would be playing a brand new character who could potentially be a new love interest for Britt, since she’s been single following Jason’s presumed death.
Kelly is best known to ABC soap fans for playing Cutter Wentworth on OLTL from 2010-13 and then again in the soap’s sadly short-lived online revival. Since then, he has starred in primetime series like UnREAL, MIDNIGHT, TEXAS, and BLUFF CITY LAW as well as making appearances in shows like STATION 19 and GREY’S ANATOMY.
At this time there’s still very little information about Kelly’s character on GH so keep checking back here at SoapsInDepth.com for updates as more information is revealed, including when he’s scheduled to make his first apperaance!
