Fans who miss seeing Max Gail playing Mike on GENERAL HOSPITAL can look forward to seeing the actor back on their TV screens when he guest stars on MAGNUM P.I.! He will be appearing in the episode airing on Friday, April 1, at 9 p.m. ET on CBS, so make sure to set your DVRs!
In the episode titled “Remember Me Tomorrow,” written by Mike Diaz, Barbie Kligman, and Katie Varney, Gail will be playing the role of Bob Braddock, a terminally ill veteran. Magnum, played by Jay Hernandez, bonds with Bob while volunteering with the No Veteran Dies Alone program, and attempts to reunite the man with his estranged family. You might want to keep your tissues handy because this sounds like it could be another tear-jerker!
Best known for playing Detective San “Wojo” Wojciehowicz on the classic TV sitcom BARNEY MILLER, Gail joined the cast of GH back in 2018 when he took over the role of Mike Corbin from Ron Hale, who had retired from acting back in 2011. Gail earned two Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in 2019 and 2021 for his work in the powerful storyline that saw Sonny’s father succumbing to Alzheimer’s. Although Mike passed away in September 2020, Gail has made the occasional ghostly appearance from the other side such as when he welcomed Baby Liam to heaven in December 2021.
In addition to this episode of MAGNUM P.I., Gail appeared in the March 2 episode of CHICAGO MED earlier this year as Ellis Turner, a man who had been on an iron lung machine since childhood. You can stream that episode on Peacock while waiting for MAGNUM P.I. on Friday night! (Although if you do miss it, you can always stream CBS shows on Paramount+!)
